We are looking for an awesome Vue.js or React.js frontend developer to join ELSA and help us build beautiful frontend pages for internal and external customers. As part of your job you will interact with backend developers, designers and even speech researchers to build amazing web frontend pages full of functionality that showcase the different products and technology that we are building inside ELSA.

The role

We are looking for a Speech Scientist to join our team at ELSA and help us in our mission to help every language learner speak a foreign language fluently and confidently. As a speech scientist al ELSA you will be playing with state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and applying them to tons of audio and text data, building new technology applications and improving existing algorithms. You will push your algorithms to production with the help of the ELSA engineering team and see your work used by millions of users Worldwide. With more than 3M app downloads, your research will be directly influenced by and will influence the many thousands of users that use our app daily.

As part of your role you will:

  • Investigate and implement new technology applications in speech and natural language processing.

  • Postprocess, organize and extract insight from the vast amounts of data collected daily from the usage of the ELSA app.

  • Propose new functionalities and investigate technical feasibility at scale, in a production environment. Work with the rest of the research team and with the development engineers to turn research into reality.

  • Maintain and improve the current speech and NLP technology stack following state-or-the-art developments and availability of new training data.

  • Do detective work to explore errors reported by our users and plan what changes are needed to prevent them.

Requirements

  • PhD in speech technology or related area (Masters level + relevant experience will also be considered).

The role

We are looking for a Senior Speech Scientist with sound expertise in acoustic modeling to join our team at ELSA and help us in our mission to help every language learner speak a foreign language fluently and confidently.
As a Senior Speech Scientist at ELSA you will be responsible for the evolution of the speech technology powering our language assessment services. Performance Marketing
