What’s new in ELSA?
Learning Path
As part of this update, we’ve reimagined and unified key features from the previous version, such as Skills, Improve Pronunciation, and Coach, into one powerful and cohesive experience called the Learning Path.
Learning Path was thoughtfully designed to bring together the core benefits of those previous features into a structured journey based on your level, goals, and interests.
Rather than switching between different sections, you’ll now be guided step-by-step through lessons that integrate pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, grammar, and more, all in one place.
Build your personalized Learning Path:
When you create your ELSA account, you’ll be guided through a few quick questions to help personalize your Learning Path. These questions are designed to tailor your learning experience based on:
- Your English level (CEFR A1 to C): This determines the difficulty level of your lessons.
- Your reason for learning and personal interests: Your answers help shape the topics you’ll see in your lessons.
- Your focus areas (e.g., pronunciation, grammar, conversation): This helps prioritize the type of practice you receive.
New Game Types:
We’re excited to introduce three new game types in the Learning Path! In addition to our existing focus on Pronunciation, Word Stress, and Listening, you can now sharpen your skills with:
- Grammar
- Vocabulary
- AI Conversation
These new additions are designed to make your learning journey even more comprehensive and interactive.
ELSA AI Tutor Voices
Enhance your learning experience by choosing from a variety of accents and voice genders when interacting with the AI Tutor. This personalized touch makes your practice sessions more engaging and enjoyable.
What was carried over?
Alongside exciting new additions, we’ve made it a priority to carry over the most popular features from the previous version, now with updated designs and enhancements. Our goal is to combine the best of both versions to create a more effective and enjoyable learning experience for you.
ELSA AI Roleplays
The most favorite feature is also available in the new version, with a fresh design layout that helps you create or find your favorite roleplays more easily. And more scenarios are updated frequently!

What was not carried over?
As part of our effort to streamline and enhance the learning experience, we’ve focused on the features that deliver the most value to learners. This means that some less frequently used features from the previous version, such as Coach, Skills, Improve Pronunciation, Invite Friends, Learning Time, and Completed Lessons Trackers, have been phased out. This change allows us to prioritize a more personalized and engaging experience, powered by the latest advancements in AI technology.
We are open to feedback and suggestions on how we can better serve your needs. If you would like to see adjustments to the current offerings, please let us know. Your input is invaluable in helping us make ELSA better.
