ELSA Business is an AI-powered English communication platform for companies. It delivers personalized learning paths, automatically generated from individual and organizational needs, as well as on-demand content, including a 8,300+ lesson library, custom materials, and an AI content generator. All training is designed to build practical, real-world workplace communication skills.
What devices and platforms does ELSA Business support?
The platform is fully supported on iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as via web browser for B2B customers.
What is corporate English training?
Corporate English training is a workplace program that helps employees build the spoken English they need for work, such as meetings, client calls and presentations. ELSA Business delivers it with AI speaking practice, personalized feedback, CEFR-aligned benchmarking and progress reporting for HR and L&D teams.
What is corporate language training?
Corporate language training is workplace learning that helps employees build the language skills they use at work. ELSA Business focuses on spoken English, with AI speaking practice, personalized feedback and progress reporting for HR and L&D teams to manage the program.

How do the personalized learning paths work?
There are two ways to create personalized learning paths. Learners can set up their own learning goals based on their role, native language, english proficiency, and more, thereby creating a personalized learning path. Alternatively, Admins can assign specific industry and job-function related goals to different teams. In addition, ELSA Business enables company-based personalisation to allow your teams to simulate real-world work scenarios custom to your company.
Can we customize the experience through our own company content?
Yes.ELSA Business integrates your website content and other company specific information, including product information, custom industry terminology, or any other documents that you want to make available, into personalized learning paths.
Is white-labeling available?
White-labeling is available for large-scale deployments. We can customize the logo and certain branding elements in the app and dashboard. Requirements and availability depend on your license volume and specific needs.

What support is provided during setup?
ELSA Business clients with 50 licenses or above, get dedicated account management. This includes implementation planning, onboarding training for admins and learners, regular check-ins during the first month, monthly performance reports, and quarterly business reviews.
Can ELSA integrate with our existing LMS or HR systems?
Yes. ELSA Business integrates with existing systems through API connections or Single Sign-On (SSO). We can connect with most LMS and HR platforms to automate user enrolment and data sharing.
Is there a help center or support portal for learners and admins?
Yes. Business users and Schools users have their own dedicated Help Centers.

What reporting is available?
The dashboard includes engagement metrics, time spent practicing, skill improvement (benchmarked against CEFR) across pronunciation, fluency, grammar, intonation and vocabulary, and individual and team performance data. You can filter reports by team, time period, and other specific metrics. You can also export custom reports.
How do we measure ROI?
ELSA Business tracks measurable improvements including English proficiency scores, time saved on manual feedback and assessment, and employee confidence in English communication. The EPS is directly correlated and mapped to the international standard CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), as well as IELTS speaking bands. We also indirectly map scores to other tests such as TOEIC, EIKEN, and GEPT.
You can also correlate these improvements with business outcomes such as customer satisfaction or increased sales deals.
Are there any language proficiency certifications or recognized assessments tied to ELSA results?
Yes. The ELSA Proficiency Score (EPS) is our internal metric that measures speaking performance across five key areas: Pronunciation, Intonation, Fluency, Grammar, and Vocabulary.
The EPS is directly correlated and mapped to the international standard CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), as well as IELTS speaking bands. We also indirectly map scores to other tests such as TOEIC, EIKEN, and GEPT.
Plans, Billing & Licensing
Is there a free trial or pilot program available?
Yes. Depending on your needed licenses volume, you may request one of the following trial types:
- Team Plan: A 14-day free trial is available for 2-49 users. Admin users can cancel their trial directly within the app within 14-days trial term.
- Enterprise Plan: For higher-tier plans (50+ licenses), we offer customized trial and pilot programs.
What is the minimum number of licenses?
The Team Plan is suitable for companies or teams that require fewer than 50 licenses. The Enterprise Plan is tailored to companies that require 50 or more licenses. Speak with our team if you need a quotation for 50 licenses or more.
How long are licenses valid?
Licenses are sold on an annual subscription basis. You can deactivate users who leave your organization and reassign those licenses to new employees at any time during your active subscription term.
What happens if we need to add or reduce licenses?
Licenses sold are non-cancellable. In case you need a license reduction, you can adjust your volume at renewal.
In case you need to add more licenses to your active plan, please contact our team. Depending on your needs, the Account Manager will offer a new subscription term, or add licenses to the existing term with the pro-rated price.
What happens if we need to cancel a subscription?
Licenses sold are non-cancellable and non-refundable.

How is learner data stored and protected?
ELSA Business prioritizes data privacy and security. We are fully compliant with major global security standards, including GDPR, SOC 2, and ISO 27001:2022. For full details on our security controls and data management procedures, please refer to the ELSA Trust Center.
What happens to your data if you do not renew your subscription?
Customers have the option to export all available data from the Reporting Dashboard before the subscription ends. Upon request, we will permanently delete all customer data within 90 days of receiving the deletion request.

What is ELSA Schools and who is it for?
ELSA Schools is an AI-powered English learning platform designed for K-12 Education (5-16 years old). Teachers can turn existing teaching materials—whether it's a list of vocabulary, sentences from a textbook, or a reading passage—into interactive pronunciation lessons which match the classroom curriculum. ELSA Schools makes it easy for teachers to monitor performance of students across different assignments.
Is ELSA Schools the same as ELSA Speak?
ELSA Schools doesn’t use the Speak App (available through the Android and iOS App Stores). Instead, learners interact with ELSA’s service through a web-based Student App (which is specifically designed for students & classroom learning).
How does ELSA Schools differ from ELSA Business?
ELSA Schools is built to adapt to the constantly evolving lessons in the classroom. It supports schools in delivering their existing curriculum while helping students develop clear and effective communication skills. In contrast, ELSA Business is designed for working adults, university students, and professionals, offering more advanced scenarios and workplace-focused content.
Is ELSA Schools suitable for University students?
ELSA Schools is designed specifically for K–12 education, with an interface and learning experience tailored to younger learners and classroom-based instruction. For University students, ELSA Business is a better fit, as it supports more advanced learning scenarios and complex language use aligned with academic and professional contexts.
What devices do students need to use ELSA Schools?
Students can access ELSA Schools through a web browser on mobile devices and computers. It is not available as a mobile application.
How can a school measure students' spoken English?
A school needs a score for each speaking attempt and a way to see results across classes. ELSA Schools scores each attempt on pronunciation and delivery. Open speaking tasks get a score for pronunciation, intonation, fluency, vocabulary and grammar. Teachers and administrators see student and class progress on a dashboard, and progress reports can be shared with parents and school leadership.
What AI tools help English teachers with speaking practice?
AI speaking tools let students practise aloud and get feedback without waiting for the teacher. In ELSA Schools, teachers turn their own vocabulary lists, textbook sentences or reading passages into speaking lessons, or create them with AI, and assign them to the class. Teachers then see progress for each student and for the whole class on one dashboard.
Which AI tools give students English speaking practice in class?
Look for a tool that lets every student speak in the same lesson, not one at a time. In ELSA Schools, students practise assigned vocabulary, read aloud, hold conversations with an AI partner using lesson vocabulary, and speak on any topic. Each attempt gets instant feedback, so students know what to fix while the teacher stays focused on teaching.
Features & Content Creation
Can teachers create their own content?
Yes, teachers can create lessons in ELSA Schools in two ways using the Content Creator. They can build study sets or read-aloud exercises based on materials from their existing textbooks, or go beyond the textbook by using AI to generate new, original learning materials simply by providing a prompt. The interactive pronunciation lessons are then delivered as Assignments to the Student App where the students practice lesson material.
What languages are supported for instructions?
ELSA supports multiple display languages, so students can see instructions in their native language while learning English. This is particularly helpful for beginner-level students who may not be comfortable with English-only interfaces.
Setup & Administration
How and when do I assign learners to the license?
After purchasing licenses and setting up your organization in the ELSA Schools Admin Dashboard, you activate licenses by inviting teachers and students via email through the dashboard. Unassigned licenses auto-activate two weeks after purchase. Though you can still assign them later, the subscription period starts on the auto-activation date. Assigning licenses beyond two weeks will reduce the learner's total study time.
Progress Tracking & Assessments
How do teachers track student progress?
Teachers have access to a comprehensive dashboard where they can view individual student performance, class-level insights, assignment completion rates, and detailed progress reports. The dashboard shows pronunciation scores, time spent practicing, skill development across different areas, and engagement metrics.
Can parents see their child's progress?
Yes, parents can be given access to the dashboard with view-only permissions. They can see their child's learning progress, time spent practicing, and skill development, but cannot access other students' information.

Is there a trial period available?
Yes, we offer trial periods for schools to test the platform. Typically, we provide 5-10 trial accounts for 14 days so teachers and select students can experience the full functionality before making a purchase decision.
What is the minimum number of licenses required?
The minimum package for the ELSA Speak School Plan is 21 student licenses. This includes unlimited admin and teacher accounts, so only student accounts count toward the license total.
What is the minimum contract period?
Contracts require a minimum commitment of 12 months.
What is the cancellation period?
Contract cancellation requires a minimum of 30 days' notice prior to the contract expiry date. The plan will not be renewed, and you will not be billed for the subsequent licensing period. However, access to the ELSA Schools Admin Dashboard and the existing licenses will remain available until the conclusion of the current subscription period.
