Turn every Google Meet call into an English coaching session
Elsa Meeting Companion syncs your Google Calendar, listens to what you say in your Google Meet calls, and gives you personalized pronunciation, fluency, and vocabulary feedback within minutes — automatically, after the call is over. You never have to record anything yourself.
Before you start
You need three things:
Your own Google account
Any personal Google account or Workspace account you control works. You only need to be the host or a participant on your Meet calls.
Meetings on your Google Calendar
ELSA finds your Meet calls through your calendar. Meetings with a Google Meet link on the invite are detected automatically once you connect.
Option A · On the ELSA mobile app
The fastest path if you want feedback on your phone right after each call.
Install and open ELSA Speak
Download from the App Store or Google Play. Sign in with the account you use on the web.
Go to Preference → Connect Meeting Apps
Open Preference, then find the Connect Meeting Apps list. You’ll see Google, Zoom, and other providers you can link.
Tap Google — “Sync your Google Calendar and workspace”
ELSA will open Google’s sign-in page. Choose your Google account and press Allow. When you return, the Google row shows a green Connected badge.
Hold your next Google Meet call as normal
Nothing extra to click — ELSA syncs your calendar in the background and picks up the Meet calls you attend. Use the per-meeting Companion toggle if you only want specific meetings analyzed.
Open the meeting in ELSA
Two to five minutes after the call ends you’ll get a “Meeting review is ready” notification and a card on your ELSA home screen. Tap it to see your speaking time, transcripts, and your personalized feedback report.

The best experience if you prefer working on a laptop or want to review transcripts side-by-side.
Sign in at app.elsaspeak.com
Open app.elsaspeak.com and log in with your ELSA account.
Go to Settings → Integrations → Google
Click Connect Google. You’ll be redirected to Google to authorize ELSA. Accept the permissions and you’ll bounce back to ELSA automatically.
See your upcoming and past meetings
Your Google Calendar starts syncing right away. Upcoming Meet calls appear in the sidebar; past meetings from the last 30 days populate within a minute.
Join your next Google Meet call as normal
Host or join your Meet call like you always do. ELSA captures the audio for the meetings you’ve enabled — nothing else is required.
Review the report
Open the meeting from your dashboard once it appears. You’ll see:
- Every participant with playable audio clips
- A pronunciation score (0–100) for your speaking segments
- Fluency, pace, and filler-word analysis
- Vocabulary suggestions tailored to how you speak in real work situations
What you get after each meeting
0–100 pronunciation score
Weighted across every full sentence you spoke — not just isolated words.
Word-level guidance
Which sounds you nailed, which ones tripped you up, and how to fix them — tied to ELSA’s existing Assessment engine.
Custom lessons
ELSA auto-generates a short lesson set from the words and sounds you struggled with in the meeting.
~2–5 min turnaround
Meeting audio is processed within a few minutes of the call ending. Larger meetings take a little longer.
Frequently asked questions
Does a bot join my Google Meet call?
Only when live capture is needed. For most meetings ELSA processes the audio through Google’s Meet APIs without appearing in your participant list. If a companion bot does join, it’s clearly labeled so other participants know it’s there.
Which Google permissions does ELSA ask for?
Six read-only scopes: your basic profile and email (to identify your account), read-only calendar access (to detect upcoming Meet calls), read-only Meet space info (to find the right meeting), and read-only Meet audio (to generate your feedback). ELSA cannot edit your calendar, send email, or change anything in your Google account. The full scope list is in our Privacy Policy.
Can I choose which meetings get analyzed?
Yes. In Preference → Analysis Settings, choose Every Meeting to analyze everything automatically, or I’ll Choose Myself to pick meetings one by one with the per-meeting Companion toggle.
How do I disconnect Google?
In ELSA, go to Preference → Connect Meeting Apps → Google → Disconnect. You can also revoke ELSA’s access from your Google Account permissions page at any time — syncing stops immediately.
I connected Google but I don’t see any meetings.
Give it 60 seconds and refresh — first-time syncs pull the last 30 days of history. If nothing appears, check that your meetings have a Google Meet link on the calendar invite, and that they’re on the same Google account you connected.
Can I use ELSA Meeting Companion for Zoom or Microsoft Teams?
Yes — Zoom is available today with the same flow, and Microsoft Teams is coming soon. See the dedicated how-to guides for those platforms.
Ready to start?
Connect Google in under a minute — the next Meet call you take becomes your next coaching session.
