The retailer is a global omni-channel business selling apparel, accessories, and personal care products across a portfolio of well-known brands, with offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Its Vietnam organisation partnered with ELSA Business to build English proficiency and communication confidence across a cohort of 61 employees.
Through ELSA, our employees have improved their English communication skills in a flexible and engaging way. The personalized learning experience has supported both individual growth and stronger collaboration
across teams.

The Challenge
The participating employees span multiple regional and functional teams who rely on English for international calls, cross-team meetings, and day-to-day collaboration. Employees needed to build proficiency and confidence in these real workplace scenarios, but variable starting levels across teams made a single classroom program impractical.
The Solution
The retailer rolled out ELSA Business, with each employee following a personalized learning path tracked against the ELSA Pentagon — pronunciation, intonation, fluency, grammar, and vocabulary. Employees averaged 1 hour 23 minutes of practice per week, nearly 3x ELSA's 30-minute benchmark, with monthly engagement reaching 88% across the cohort — well above ELSA's 75% benchmark.
The Results
Within six months, the cohort turned personalized daily practice into measurable proficiency gains, with 100% of survey respondents reporting improved communication — in meetings, international calls, and everyday collaboration with colleagues.
